Healthier Banana Chocolate Muffins
recipe modified from this one
3 large bananas
3/4 C. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/3 C. applesauce
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 C. whole wheat flour
1/2 tp 1 C. dark chocolate chips
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Mash bananas
3. Add sugar and egg
4. Add applesauce
5. Add dry ingredients
6. Mix in chocolate chips.
7. Fill muffin tins half full.
8. Bake in preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes.
Comments:
I don't think the majority of people would choose these muffins over the big greasy ones you can buy at the store. However, these are quite good and my kids sure gobble them up. They make for a great after-school-snack.
